#YouAintNoMuslimBruv: Hollywood’s James Purefoy backs London terror response

Posted on Dec 8th, 2015 in News | Comments Off on #YouAintNoMuslimBruv: Hollywood’s James Purefoy backs London terror response

A HOLLYWOOD actor originally from Middle Chinnock has shown his support to the reaction to a stabbing at a London tube station on Saturday (December 5).

One man was seriously injured while another suffered minor injuries during the knife attack at Leytonstone station. The video of the aftermath of the attack shows a man – the alleged perpetrator – being pinned to the floor having been tasered by police.

An unidentified bystander is then heard shouting: “You ain’t no Muslim bruv.” The phrase has been quickly picked up by social media users, posting the hashtag as a riposte to attempts to spread violence and terror in the capital.

The Following star James Purefoy – a former Yeovil District Hospital employee who was raised in Martock – joined the thousands that helped the tag top UK’s trending chart on Twitter on Sunday by sharing the message.
